Upcoming cPanel Price Updates in 2021
As you may have heard, cPanel recently announced a universal price increase to their licenses for all partners, distributors, and cPanel store customers. To view cPanel’s new standardized pricing, please see here. These upcoming changes have a direct impact on every hosting provider, including HostforWeb. In this blog post, we will breakdown how this price increase from cPanel will affect HostforWeb hosting customers with cPanel accounts starting January 15, 2021.
Shared Hosting
For current Shared hosting plans (Mini, Smart Plan, and Business Pro) as well as older Shared hosting plans, the purchase and renewal prices will increase by $1.00.
Reseller Hosting
For our current Reseller hosting plans (HFW-0, HFW-1, HFW-2, HFW-3, and HFW-4) as well as our older Reseller plans, we will not be making any changes to our purchase or renewal rates. Instead, to help keep our pricing unchanged, we’re decreasing the account limitation across our plans to the following:

Please note that all Reseller Hosting customers will retain their other account limits.
VPS and Cloud Hosting
Currently, our VPS and Cloud Hosting customers pay an additional fee for each cPanel account they have. We’ve noticed, however, that some of our customers only have 1 cPanel account on the server yet pay for a license that covers up to 5. To reduce this monthly cost, we’ve decided to introduce a new type of cPanel license – ‘Solo’. This is for our customers who do not plan to create more than one cPanel account and will be offered free of charge.
The new tiered structure for VPS Hosting and Cloud Hosting will be as follows:

Dedicated Server Hosting:
Currently, our Dedicated Server customers pay $10.00 for up to 100 accounts and $0.10/account for additional accounts. We will be adjusting our cPanel Premier Metal license cost by $5.00 and the per account fee for over 100 accounts by $0.10.
If you’re a VPS, Cloud, or Dedicated Server Hosting Company with HostforWeb, you may wish to consider Interworx as a cheaper alternative. Unlike cPanel, Interworx does not have account limits. Currently, we offer this as a free control panel alternative for our customers.
